How many years have you worked in the hospitality industry?

I have over 8 years of experience in the hospitality industry but 11+ years in marketing and communications if you take into account my previous life in fashion, accessories and media.

What companies have you worked for?

I’ve worked for The Star in Sydney, Moet Hennessy Australia where I worked as the Brand Manager for Moet & Chandon and William Grant & Sons where I was the Brand Manager for Hendricks Gin, Reyka Vodka and Solerno. And now I own KLC Co. a Marketing & communications agency for luxury-minded brands - I specialise in creating strategies for long term, sustainable brand growth.

What are your career highlights?

Starting my own agency has definitely been a career highlight, it’s definitely one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. However, before storying my own business, I’ve been so lucky to work on two of Australia’s biggest premium alcohol brands which came with a slew of incredible experiences.

What aspects of your job are you most passionate about?

I get so much satisfaction from seeing a brand’s potential come to life through solid strategy and a holistic approach to Marketing and Communications. I believe there is too much crossover between marketing and communications in the digital age that we live in for brands to hire a marketing agency AND a communications agency. I utilise my client’s budgets to formulate an effective strategy tailored to them and their business and focus on organic strategies to set their business up for long term growth.

Why do you do what you do?

At the end of the day, I love the psychology behind why people buy products, services and experiences. I am passionate about people connecting on a deeper level with the brands they engage with.
