GLENWORTH ESTATE - YOUR LUXURY COUNTRY ESCAPE
Located on the top of Berry Mountain, Glenworth Estate comprises fifty acres of pristine Australian native bushland, farmland and luxury accommodation. The Estate is rich in history and its roots run deep in the local Berry community. The properties on the Estate were first developed by James Wilson, the first Lord Mayor of Berry, and subsequently sold to the Frecker family in 1952. In 2017 custodianship passed to the current owners who set about the complete restoration of the farmhouse, servants’ quarters, forge and stables along with the rebuild of the original farm managers cottage. The owners of Glenworth Estate are passionate about reinvigorating a sustainable farm-based property with the farm itself home to a breeding herd of Simental cattle, sheep, chickens, and bees.
If you would like to experience everything Glenworth Estate has to offer firsthand there are two luxury accommodation options available for you. Glenworth Cottage and Glenworth House were tasked to International award-winning Interior Designer, Victoria Hampshire who is now based locally in Berry and was responsible for the design of both properties of which were traditionally the Mayors House and Estate Managers quarters.
Glenworth Cottage sits amongst two acres of its own land and overlooks paddocks, orchards and has picturesque views of the main farmhouse. It sleeps up to ten guests and is equipped with all the creature comforts you would need for the perfect escape with family and friends including a wood fire, air conditioning, wooden floors with NZ wool carpets in the bedrooms, luxury linen, espresso coffee machine and a chefs kitchen equipped with everything you would need to entertain.
